Swiff Audio WX510 In-Ear Monitoring System,m Review

The Swiff Audio WX510 is a wireless in-ear monitoring system that is compact, offers great sound reproduction, and looks quite stylish (which is always important!).

The WX510 is a dual monitoring system, coming in a convenient case that also functions as the transmitter and charging unit. A lid for the case would be appreciated. As it is, I will need to find something else to put the unit in for it to go into my PigAudio gig bag.

The key features are as follows:

  • Wireless Transmission: Operates on the 5.8GHz ISM frequency band, offering a stable and interference-resistant connection with a range of up to 30 meters. Apparently the signal can be transmitted through walls without impact. This would make it quite convenient for recording sessions, if it works as well as the claim states.
  • Low Latency: Delivers audio with less than 5ms latency, ensuring real-time monitoring without noticeable delay.
  • Battery Life: The transmitter features an 8400mAh battery, providing over 20 hours of usage on a single charge. Each receiver offers up to 6 hours of continuous use.
  • Compact Design: Both the transmitter and receivers are lightweight and can be easily attached to a belt or instrument strap, making them suitable for on-stage use.
  • LED Display: The receiver includes an LED display for easy monitoring of settings and battery status.

The WX510 is priced very competitively, and from my use at gigs, really does offer a good solution for in-ear monitoring that won’t stretch the budget.

The dual receivers allow for two users to monitor the same audio source simultaneously, so it is ideal for duo settings.

It is also incredibly easy to use.

The WX510 is mono only. I run my solo and duo acts in mono, so have not experienced any issues per se with this limitation. I will try it in a band setting soon and see how that impacts the experience.

They do not come with earpieces, so that is another cost to be factored in.

Overall, I am very impressed for the price. I’ll write another review of my thoughts after further use, but I can see so much potential for this unit for future gigs, social media content creation, and recording sessions.
